Reynolds Ultraviolet Sterilization Systems
Gain peace of mind that your water is safe.
Install a Reynolds Ultraviolet disinfection system and you no longer have to be concerned about waterborne pathogenic organisms causing illness or contaminating production processes. Reynolds Ultraviolet systems kill bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens by preventing them from reproducing. The result? Safe drinking water.
Healthier water through UV science
Disinfecting your drinking water with ultraviolet light (UV) makes good sense. It's exceptionally effective, it's environmentally safe, it's well-proven, and it's the way of the future for water disinfection requirements around the globe.
Reynolds Water is proud to feature ultraviolet sterilization manufactured by Viqua, a world leader since 1976. Viqua has applied its extensive scientific and engineering expertise to develop a new line of high-performance residential and commercial UV water disinfection systems. Named UVMax, this innovative product line uses leading-edge technology to kill viruses, bacteria, and other pathogens in your water faster and more effectively than any other system today.
The Viqua technology edge
Viqua's scientists and engineers have employed advanced computer modeling programs to design an ultra-efficient water chamber for the UVMax system. This highly evolved chamber optimizes hydraulic performance and enables the UVMax to disinfect water even more potently than conventional UV systems do, while delivering exceptional energy efficiency.
Moreover, Viqua is the first company to build high-output UV lamp technology into residential and commercial UV water treatment systems. Smaller and more powerful than their predecessors, these lamps have allowed Viqua to design the UVMax to fit in compact areas, saving you installation space.
Fortunately, you do not have to gamble with anyone's health. By installing a UVMax system, an independently validated disinfection solution, you will effectively destroy microbial contamination along with any health risks.
Spare the environment, and your health, from harmful chemicals.
UV disinfection is a natural process that adds no chemicals to your water. Other disinfection methods, such as those that use chlorine, may create harmful chemicals that have been linked with serious illnesses. Why take the risk?
How does UV disinfection work?
When bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms are exposed to germicidal UV light at a particular wavelength (253.7 nanometers), their reproductive capabilities are destroyed, which means they are inactivated and no longer pose a threat to human health.
Ultraviolet disinfection systems channel water past submerged lamps that emit lethal doses of UV energy, destroying any pathogens. The strength of a dose is a product of the UV light intensity and exposure time.
Not only is it safe and highly effective, but UV also does not change the taste, color, or odor of water. It simply removes the risk of illness caused by microbial contamination, making water safe to drink or use commercially.
Maintain your system with the minimal effort
Looking after your UVMax system is easy. All you have to do is periodically clean the lamp sleeve and replace the light once a year; a simple process that you can complete within minutes. The lamp and protective quartz sleeve are designed as one component for ease of handling but can be replaced separately.
To help remind you when to replace the lamp (it is important to do it once every year), Viqua has incorporated visual and optional audio signals. And, at any time, the display will tell you how many months the lamp has been in use. Also, should your lamp ever fail, the system has an optional alarm.
Get the best value from your disinfection investment
UVMax incorporates the most advanced UV technology, ensuring that you get a robust, cost-effective, and efficient solution to your disinfection needs. Add its convenience and safety, and the UVMax truly represents the way of the future for residential and commercial water disinfection.
